Hengelsport Speciaalzaken B.V. is located in the Netherlands, which is a seafood store that mainly sells fishing gear and bait. The customers of this company have a high opinion of the products sold and the services provided by the customer company.
The customer needed to mix some wet corn kernels, hemp seeds, and salt.
In this case, the customer had very high requirements for the equipment he wanted to purchase. The customer required the equipment to be of good quality, safe, and durable. Our Karvil’s horizontal ribbon mixer just meets all the customer's needs for the equipment.

The outer ribbon drives the material from both ends toward the center, while the inner ribbon pushes the material from the center toward both ends. The relative motion and velocity difference between the materials generate shear force. The tumbling materials undergo interpenetration and diffusion. This "counter-current" working mode enables the material to achieve a high mixing uniformity within a short time.
The horizontal U-shaped cylinder design makes its effective volume large, the single processing volume is larger. The structure is relatively simple, easy to clean and maintain. Volume: 300L total volume with 180L effective working volume for small-scale production process
Voltage condition: 230V, 50Hz, 3-phase. According to customer’s needs, we also provide customers with industrial plugs
Material: Material contact parts adopt SS304, other parts are carbon steel
Discharging method: Bottom with electric butterfly valve, with large discharging port for quick unloading

Throughout the process, we discussed many details with the customer, including confirming whether the material has a certain viscosity and the specific materials that need to be mixed. The three most important details are that we can adjust the mixer’s height, discharging method and discharging port according to the customer's needs by adjusting the schematic diagram, ultimately achieving customer satisfaction.
Customized Horizontal Ribbon Mixer That is One-of-a-Kind
01: The height of the horizontal ribbon mixer
Normally, if the customer has no special requirements for the height of the equipment, we will design it according to the basic requirements.
During discussions with the customer, I learned their needs. They wanted a hopper beneath the mixer to receive and transfer materials. Given this premise, the height of the equipment was crucial. To ensure the hopper could be properly placed beneath the mixer, I confirmed the specific dimensions with the customer.
With the specific dimensions of the hopper, our engineers have a reference for preparing technical information and drawing diagram. The final design involved raising the height of the mixer, leaving it elevated.
02: Discharging method
In the initial quotation configuration, we marked the manual butterfly valve discharge as a reference. The customer asked about the discharging method: is there a corresponding button for the manual butterfly valve on the distribution cabinet? I customer replied that the manual butterfly valve did not have the corresponding control. If necessary, it could be replaced with a pneumatic butterfly valve. The customer was concerned about the air source for the pneumatic butterfly valve. After discussing with the customer, we finally decided to use an electric butterfly valve for the discharge.
Regarding the discharge of the electric butterfly valve, our engineers provided customers with references through schematic diagrams, including letting customers know the height of the discharge port from the ground. The customers were very satisfied, so we confirmed the discharge method.
03: The discharging port
According to the needs of customers, customers want a larger discharge port. We changed the discharging port to DN300 to meet the customer's need for quick unloading.
