Parameters of the 7L Sigma Mixer: Meet Our Customer’s Needs


For mixing silicone rubber

Volume: 7L total volume with 5L working volume for lab test

Voltage condition: 415V 50Hz 3 phases

Material: The contact material is stainless steel 316, other parts are SS304

Discharging method: Tilting discharging

During the process, we encountered some problems. By communicating with the customer constantly and demonstrating different solutions, we solved these problems and the customer was very satisfied.

 

Challenges and Karvil’s Solutions: Positive Coping Style


 

01: Lead time


 

Challenge:


At the earliest quotation, our customer hoped that we could keep the lead time to 28 days.

At a later stage, according to our customer’s requirement, they required for no more than 5 weeks after they gave us Purchase Order.

 

Solution:


The lead time of 28 days is difficult for us, as we not only have to control the quality strictly but also deal with the constraints of shipping time, so we rejected the request. But for the needs of our customer, we will try our best to manufacture the Sigma mixer in 5 weeks. We have reached a consensus on this respect.

02: Raw material test



Challenge:


It’s the first time for our customer to purchase the sigma mixer for silicone rubber manufacturing, so they are unfamiliar with specific procedure for mixing. In the previous communication email, our customer also mentioned that they wanted to know what the process they need to follow for the silicone mixing and what is the ideal mixing sigma mixer for silicone rubber mixing with complete process. They required for raw material testing before shipment.

 

Solution:


(1) In the process of communication, we provided our partners' names which they also used our Sigma mixer for silicone rubber production.  To let them relieved that we are professional in the Sigma mixer for mixing silicone rubber.

(2)In the meantime, we shared related feedback videos to let our customer know more about the condition of mixing for silicone rubber.

We agreed with test raw material after the machine is completed and receiving the raw material form our customer. Then we will send the test video to them to check.

Whatever the challenges we face, we will respond positively and provide the most suitable solutions for our customers.

 

How to communicate: Efficient and Prompt, Step-by-Step


 

From the time we received the inquiry to the time we got the PO from our customer, it took almost three months. During this time, we not only communicated via email and WhatsApp, but also held three video meetings.

March 5th for first meeting→We talked about the questions of lead time, volume, control system, material and electric diagram. According to our customer’s requirement, we changed the total volume from 7L to 10L. In addition, we changed the material to contact parts SS316 and other parts are SS304.

 

March 11th for second meeting→Before we start the meeting, We had confirmed with our customer what topic they want to talk. We had a discussion on the recipe option, energy meter, hours meter for PLC control, and also safety feature and seals. They also needed the quotation on the basis of FOB price.

It is worth noting that the safety device, we equip a sensor on the mixer to make sure it will stop immediately after lid is open. We also have the emergency stop button.

After the meeting, we also discussed the quotation on the Ex-work basis. This was also the final quotation indicated.

 

April 17th for third meeting→This meeting was after the Sigma mixer had already started production. The discussion focused on the issues of delivery confirmation, raw material testing and the production progress of the Sigma mixer. We reconfirmed the lead time and also with the raw materials test.

Whether email, WhatsApp or video meeting, every communication is a process of discussing and solving problems.

We put our customer in the centre, listen to their needs and provide solutions accordingly.

 

 

Conclusion: Actions speak louder than words


Good cooperation is inseparable from our joint effort. We have completed the production of the Sigma mixer with high quality and in accordance with our Indian customer's required delivery date.

We have received the material sample for testing and we will start test when we receive the requirements from our client.
